YEREVAN. – The affairs of Russia’s Bamo Company are very complicated in recent times, Chorrord Inknishkhanutyun daily writes.                   

“According to the circulating rumors, Hovik, Murad and Boris Muradyan—who own one of Russia’s largest holdings—have ‘fallen under’ large loans again.

Now, they say the Muradyan brothers—who, first, were able to acquire the [Armenian capital city Yerevan’s] Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concerts Complex and, subsequently, Murad Muradyan was able to be appointed Ambassador to Iraq—have begun constructing districts, in the form of small towns, throughout Russia.   

Incidentally, the Muradyan brothers’ ‘appetite’ to fall under large loans is conditioned also on the business prospect of building a hotel complex in France, where the Muradyan brothers have very good ‘circles’ on the level of the ruling elite.   

And Hovik Muradyan could attempt playing ‘games’ also in [Armenia’s] Gegharkunik Region in the upcoming local-government elections. For a long time he intends to ‘designate’ several of his relatives as community leaders. But Gegharkunik’s newly-appointed Governor Rafik Grigoryan would hardly tolerate such thing, since the Muradyan and Grigoryan families have not-so-smooth relations since a long time,” Chorrord Inknishkhanutyun writes.
