YEREVAN. – US Dollar exchange rate fluctuations will continue in Armenia, since they are directly influenced by external processes, in particular, fluctuations of prices of basic commodities, ARF Dashnaktcutyun MP told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

"The second important point here is that Armenia is an importing country and, consequently, any drop in prices is directly affected by the decision of importers, and they build up either big demand or supply. Rapid drop of exchange rate is mostly conditioned with these facts,” the MP states. 

Talking about the future of the dollar, he once again stated that it firstly depends on the decision of the importers and secondly on the measures the government might take. 

In his words, such swings will continue in Armenia, though, given that the government has already been formed, the dollar should have significantly calmed. However, the external influence is much more important.
