YEREVAN.- The opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) member claims that Davit Shahnazaryan formally had not left the bloc but only refused to be a member of the central office.

“Any member of the political force included in one of the parties-members of the bloc, is considered a member of the Armenian National Congress,” ANC coordinator Levon Zurabyan told reporters on Thursday.

Asked whether Shahnazaryan will participate in ANC rallies, Zurabyan advised that reporters should Shahnazaryan.

In an interview to Radio Liberty Armenian service last week Davit Shahnazaryan said he left the opposition bloc.

“I left the ANC central office in March before the e lections, and my political career in ANC is over,” Shahnazaryan said without telling the reason.

At the same time, Shahnazaryan remains the member of the Armenian National Movement Party, which is a member of Armenian National Congress.
