YEREVAN. – Cooperation in the domains of urban development and architecture was discussed during the meeting between Armenian capital city Yerevan’s Mayor Taron Margaryan and famous French-Armenian architect Michel Mossessian.  

Welcoming the guest, the Mayor briefly presented Yerevan’s history, and stressed that Armenia’s 2794-year-old capital city is a unique combination of old and new architecture and today it is considered one of the world’s most appealing capitals.

“Being familiar with your contribution to global architecture and underscoring the priority of materializing modern projects in Yerevan, I can assure [you] that we stand ready to discuss and endorse—within the scope of our power—any proposal that will contribute to the development of our city,” noted Taron Margaryan. 

In his turn, Michel Mossessian stated that he is visiting Yerevan for the first time, stressed that he is genuinely impressed by the Armenian capital’s architecture, and expressed a desire to create architectural compositions—at Yerevan’s public areas—which will make the city become more presentable and comfortable.       

Welcoming this desire by the renowned French-Armenian architect, Mayor Margaryan proposed holding a joint professional discussion with the Municipality officials and forming a clear proposal.
