YEREVAN.- The majority of attempts to illegally cross the Armenian border last year were made in order to leave the country, says the study by department investigating the cases of national security and cyber crimes.

The majority of trespassers are trying to leave for U.S. or Schengen States, with a transit through Turkey and the United Arab Emirates, Pastinfo reports.

The reasons are poor social conditions, family reunification, marriage, in some cases evasion of military conscription or criminal liability, and sometimes prostitution.

Almost always attempts are made with the help of forged documents, namely passports and entry invitations.
