Latvia-based Grindex pharmaceutical company is opening a representation in Armenia as it is expanding its branches in the CIS states.

The Armenian branch will cooperate with local state agencies responsible for control over medicine, with wholesale and retail sellers. The company will provide registration and promotion of medicine in Armenia, Parmaceutical Vestnik reports.

“Grindex launched its activities in Armenia many years ago. The doctors and patients managed to assess our work. Armenia’s pharmaceutical market is growing and is considered prospective by Grindex,” said chairman of the Grindex board Juris Bundulis.  

“The company’s sales volume in Armenia increased by 32% in 2011, as compared with the previous year. Opening of a branch is a next step on the way to strengthening positions and more effective work in Armenia.”

Ashot Sargsyan will head the representation.
