YEREVAN.- Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian received on Tuesday members of Canada’s House of Commons, vice presidents of Canada-Armenia parliament friendship group Alexander Bulris and Jim Karygiannis.

During the meeting, Minister Nalbandian said progress has recently been reached in cooperation with Canada. Armenia attaches importance to strengthening and deepening of multilateral relationship, he added.   

The Foreign Minister gave appraisal of parliament diplomacy as the basis for development of relations between the states. He welcomed the activities of Canadian lawmakers aimed at promting the bilateral ties.

He also stressed their role in observation mission of presidential elections scheduled for July in the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic.

The sides discussed a number of regional problems as well.
