YEREVAN. – Forming the institute of Public Services Ombudsman is inexpedient in Armenia. The Justice Ministry proposed to the Government to remove this point from the 2011-adopted program to improve the business environment.   

This matter is included in the agenda of Thursday’s Cabinet meeting.

But the Justice Ministry has not submitted an explanation as to the motives for refusing from the institute of Public Services Ombudsman while the Finance Ministry refused to present a view, even though it had received a formal letter.     

To note, in line with the Government’s decision, which was adopted in December 2011, the Justice Ministry was obligated to submit, no later than March 1, 2012, the concept for the establishment of the institute of Public Services Ombudsman.
