YEREVAN.- Armenia’s communists have not yet decided on their participation in the presidential election.

Head of the Communist Party of Armenia Ruben Tovmasyan told reporters it is too early to think about the presidential election.

Tovmasyan considers there is no “acceptable candidate” for the post. The politician said nomination of the incumbent and former presidents will be a tragedy for the country.

As to a single opposition candidate, leader of the Armenian communists stressed he sees no politician capable of assuming the role.

According to him, the major obstacle is ambitions of the opposition political forces.

“The opposition showed true colors failing to collect 44 signatures to convene an extraordinary sitting on Harsnaqar restaurant incident,” he emphasized.
