YEREVAN. – Armenia’s economic results for the first six months of 2012 are positive and optimistic, Economy Minister Tigran Davtyan stated during a press conference on Monday.
In his words, structural changes are taking place in Armenia’s economy, there is economic liveliness, and all this occurs against a stable macroeconomic backdrop. Also, the Minister considered it positive that Armenia’s real economic sector is developing at a more accelerated pace.
To note, Armenia’s economic activity index comprised 7.8 percent in January-June 2012, the National Statistical Service had informed. And as per the Economy Minister, this is a very high indicator. Tigran Davtyan also predicted that this positive dynamics will be maintained until the year’s end.
