YEREVAN. – Police of Armenia continue reinforcing contacts with the society and first of all with the media. Police organized a shooting training for the journalists on Monday. The photo coverage is available here.

To avoid accidents, prior to passing to trainings, the journalists got familiarized with the safety rules, disassemble and reassemble the Makarov pistol. Each journalist had a chance to fire, while the best ones received awards and certificates. Shant TV, AR TV and State Public Television journalists won the first, second and third places respectively, while four female representatives, among them the Armenian News-NEWS.am reporter Sona Barseghyan, received certificates.

Police will hold such trainings several times a year. Police representatives say each citizen, especially media representatives, should have gun-handling skills in the modern world.
