Newly appointed US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Richard Morningstar will arrive in Baku in the end of this week.

Deputy Secretary of State William Burns received on Monday Morningstar to instruct him about priorities and expectations of the U.S.policy, Turan agency quotes its reliable diplomatic source.

“Administration attaches importance to the mission of Ambassador Morningstar,” a source said.

As Armenian News-NEWS.am reported earlier, U.S. Senate approved Richard Morningstar as Ambassador to Azerbaijan in June.

Earlier, US President Barack Obama nominated Richard Morningstar to be the next Ambassador to Baku.
