YEREVAN. – No one has lost or increased charisma in Armenian political reality, opposition Heritage Party secretary Stepan Safaryan said at a press conference on Tuesday. His comments came after his party-colleague Armen Martirosyan has stated that opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) leader, First President of Armenia Levon Ter-Petrosyan has lost his charisma and the only charismatic figure is Heritage leader, former Armenian FM Raffi Hovannisian.

According to him, the Armenian society does not like political figures that have once lost.

In response to the question whether Safaryan considers Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) an opposition, he said that even the PAP does not consider itself an opposition.

At the end of the conference, Safaryan would have been happy if the ARF Dashnaksutyun, the ANC and the PAP supported his candidacy in the MP elections in Yerevan’s Avan district, however, he has not yet finally decided on running for an MP.
