YEREVAN. – The US dollar continues to lose ground in Armenia’s financial market at a rapid pace.
The American currency’s average exchange rate, against the Armenian dram (AMD), comprised AMD 408.98/$1, at NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange on Tuesday, and this is a 0.49-percent—or a 2.02-point—fall from the previous trading session on Monday.
And the total sales were $4.85 million at the stock exchange.
Certain exchange offices still maintain the buying exchange rate of AMD 409/$1, in Armenia’s cash foreign currency market, but, in all likelihood, this will not last for long. And the “bolder” exchange offices have reduced the dollar’s selling rate all the way to AMD 410/$1.
