BAKU. – Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Azerbaijan Lee Chi-Han expressed a hope for a quick settlement to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Responding to Azerbaijani 1news.az News Agency’s query with respect to South Korea’s position on the aforesaid conflict, the Ambassador noted as follows:
“During Azerbaijani and Korean presidents’ high-level meetings in Baku, in 2006, and in Seoul, in 2007, the parties stressed the importance of a peaceful settlement to the Karabakh problem between Azerbaijan and Armenia, by taking into account UN [Security Council] SC’s respective resolutions and the OSCE Lisbon Summit’s three principles, and based on the precept of sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Considering the great difficulties which the people are facing, I personally am hopeful that this problem will be resolved soon.”
