Constant fire by the Azerbaijani side complicates work in the fields for the residents of the Armenian border villages, heads of the local communities told the OSCE representatives.
Personal Representative of OSCE Chairman-in-Office’s field assistants Antal Herdic and Irji Aberle met with the heads of the villages on Wednesday. The meeting was preceded by the OSCE monitoring conducted in the direction of Aygepar village of Armenia’s Tavush Region and Alibeyli village of Azerbaijan’s Tovuz Region.
Manvel Kamendatyan, the head of Nerkin Karmraghbyur village, said the Azerbaijani side has recently intensified shots targeted at civilians. At the same time, Movses village head Lyudvig Aperyan claimed that no day passes without shots, while the Aygepar village head Andranik Aydinyan added that shots targeted at peaceful residents have become more frequent.
Two civilians were wounded by the Azerbaijani bullets in June and July.
