YEREVAN. – Kentron and Nork-Marash destricts’ first instance court in Yerevan ended on Friday hearings on the case of kidney sale by exploiting human beings.

According to the case, Sergey Hovsepyan has come to an initial agreement with individuals named Alex, Albert and Bagdan, living abroad, whose identity is still to be disclosed, on human trafficking, in particular on selling kidneys, Pastinfo reports.

Hovsepyan had to gather people, organize their transfer and received $2,000 for each person. He came to an agreement with people of the most vulnerable class, promised them to cover their medical insurance and transfer expenses, if they agree to sell their kidney for $10,000. As a result, the defendant came to agreement with Armenian citizens Hasmik Mkhitaryan, Narek Hovhannisyan, Ashot Gazilyan, Sargis Feschyan, Gayane Stepanyan and Artashes Mkhitaryan and organized their transfer to Sri Lanka.
