YEREVAN. – The prices in Armenia’s consumer market reduced by 1.5 percent in July, as compared with June, the National Statistical Service informs.  

As a result, the 12-month inflation in the country reached 2.3 percent. The food prices went down, while the non-food item prices increased by 0.4 percent and 0.1 percent in the market and in the service sector respectively.     

In particular, prices for vegetables, fruits and eggs dropped. In 2012 Armenia registered a decline in sugar prices (0.8%), confectionery (0.4%), fish products (0.2%) and other goods (0.2%).
