Syrian rebels obtained the first supply of surface-to-air missiles transported from Turkey. Free Syrian Army has about two dozen missiles, NBC News reported on Tuesday referring to an unnamed source.

The Syrian government forces continue the operation against armed opposition in Aleppo, country’s second largest city.  

Contradictory reports about situation in the city are received. An independent Al Watan newspaper said government forces took control of several districts on Tuesday. The opposition claims the opposite.

Earlier The New York Times reported a small group of CIA employees located in Turkey’s south is controlling arms supplies to Syrian rebels.
