YEREVAN.- A 2.3 magnitude earthquake hit Armenian-Turkish border on Thursday morning at 7:56 am local time five kilometers to the west from Artashat city.

The underground shaking measured magnitude 3 at the epicenter and its hypocenter was 5 kilometers beneath the surface, Emergency Situations Ministry told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Another 2.5 magnitude tremor was registered on Wednesday evening 16 kilometers to the west from Qajaran on Armenian-Azerbaijani border. The underground shaking measured magnitude 3-4 at the epicenter. According to preliminary reports, a 2-3 magnitude quake was felt in Qajaran.
