Iranian government decided to cut off the Internet access to the state agencies to protect them from cyber attacks such as Stuxnet and Flame previously used by hackers.

Minister of information and communication technology Reza Taghipour Anvari said intelligence data of strategic importance is vulnerable on the web. Anvari does not trust the Internet, which according to the Minister, is controlled by one or two states hostile to Iran.

The Minister plans to create an internal national network which will replace the Internet, Golos Rossii reports.

Numerous Iranian computers have been recently infected with Stuxnet and Flame and are supposedly made jointly by Israeli and American experts.
