YEREVAN. – Total of 19,183 babies were born over the previous six months of this year, while 410 babies were born dead. At the same period of last year 19,995 babies were born while 447 were born dead, Armenian National Statistical Service informs Armenian News.NEWS.am.

On examining 60,330 women and 19,429 men doctors revealed 67 cases of HIV in women and 115 in men, as the source reports. 14 HIV-positive cases were revealed in pregnant women.

“Pregnant women are better to be under the control of doctors,” Armenia’s chief gynecologist Razmik Abrahamyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
