MOSCOW. – Novocherkassk Deputy-Mayor in Russia’s Rostov Region is charged for illegal actions against people from the Caucasus, in particular the Armenian Diaspora.

The high ranking official Vladislav Zhuravlev voiced statements targeted at instigating illegal actions by the Cossacks against the people of the Caucasus origin, the investigation claims. The targets are in particular members of the Armenian Diaspora as if they wished to take over the power in the city, Yerkramas newspaper reports.

Zhuravlev is accused for committing crime on the article of “Inciting hatred or enmity, as well as humiliation of human dignity.”
