UN observers left Syria’s largest city Aleppo during the weekend due to deterioration of security conditions.
Twenty international observers previously located in Aleppo were temporarily transferred to Damascus where the UN headquarters is situated.
Fierce clashes between the government forces and the rebels of “Free Syrian Army” continue in Aleppo, Rosbalt reports.
On July 20 UN temporarily extended observers’ mandate for a month. In late July it was disclosed that the mission was reduced up to 150 obserevers.
