YEREVAN. – Surenavan village community head in Armenia’s Ararat Region, Karo Karapetyan who was wanted since Aug. 3 is arrested, Police information service informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.
Karapetyan is charged with the 1st and 3rd points of the 2nd part of the article No. 179 of the Armenian Criminal Code, for abuse of the official position.
Last December, a criminal case was instigated against the village community head on the 1st part of the article No. 315 for official negligence.
