YEREVAN.- Ruling Republican Party of Armenia and Prosperous Armenia party, which  withdrew coalition this year, would clash for the post of Mayor of Masis, a small city not far from Yerevan.

As of August 8, three candidates have been registered by the Central Electoral Committee. Republican Party nominated Sasha Hakobyan, Prosperous Armenia – Masis deputy mayor Karapet Ohanyan. The third is independent candidate Norayr Nahapetyan.

The submission deadline for local self-government election expires on August 10.
