YEREVAN. – A total of 23,600 passengers were transported since the Yerevan-Batumi-Yerevan route of the “Armenia” train started running. And this figure is 12.2-percent higher than the data in 2011, when 21,000 passengers were transported for the period from June 15 to August 9, “South Caucasian Railway” informs.

In general, 34,899 tickets were sold for “Armenia” train, from June 1 to August 9, which is 26.3%percent above last year’s figure of 27,600 tickets.

A total of 7,512 were transported by “Armenia” train from July 1 to August 9. Since August 5 on average 500 passengers leave for Batumi every day.
