ALEPPO.- Situation in Armenian districts of Aleppo and Damascus is gradually returning to normal.

“It is much calmer here,” a source in Aleppo told Armenian News-NEWS.am. According to him, the government forces are controlling situation in Aleppo. There is food supply to the Armenian districts.

“The shops are working in Armenian, Christian districts,” he said.

As reported earlier, several Armenians, including civilians, became victims of clashes in Aleppo. Armenian archbishopric was reportedly damaged during clashes.

Syria is home to 50-60 thousand Armenians.
