YEREVAN.- The opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) bloc is faced with many problems. The situation within the bloc is rather complicated, member of Heritage Party Stepan Safaryan told reporters on Wednesday.

The politician said that the number one problem of Congress is to avoid a breakdown.  

Safaryan said the situation within the ANC is really tough. The evidence thereof is ANC leader Levon-Ter-Petrosyan’s recent speech dedicated to those who left the party.

“I think the Congress members realize that even if they push Ter-Petrosyan as a candidate for presidential elections, he is not the Ter-Petrosyan of 2008 and will not enjoy the support he used to have,” he added.
