Georgian leader Mikhail Saakashvili will shed blood and will not yield power, former president Eduard Shevarnadze said in an interview with Asaval-dasavali newspaper.

“A person who was ready for war in Abkhazia to preserve power, can you imagine what he is capable of?” he wonders.

Former head of the Georgian parliament, leader of the opposition Democratic Movement – United Georgia Nino Burjanadze said that four years ago Saakashvili was ready to launch hostilities in Abkhazia in response to intensification of opposition’s actions, Vzglyad newspaper reports.
