Turkish Foreign Ministry is concerned over chapters telling about the Armenian Genocide included in the French textbooks.
The foreign office started studying the textbooks containing chapters about the Armenian Genocide for fourth graders in French secondary schools, Dogan agency reported.
Talking to Hurriyet daily, Turkey’s Ambassador to France Tahsin Burcuoglu said the chapters were included starting from 2001 when France officially recognized the Armenian Genocide.
“We are following the process. We will study the new books to compare materials with the previous ones and will present the results in a report. The decision will be made based on the mentioned report,” he said.
