YEREVAN. – No transactions were conducted at NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange on Wednesday.

The US dollar was offered at Tuesday’s exchange rate—that is, AMD 410/$1—but the demand rate did not pass beyond AMD 409/$1.   

The American currency seems to be losing value in Armenia’s cash foreign currency market. The banks by the dollar at a maximum of AMD 408/$1 and sell it at AMD 410/$1.   

As Armenian News-NEWS.am informed earlier, the US dollar’s average exchange rate, against the Armenian dram (AMD), comprised AMD 410/$1, at NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange on Tuesday, and this was a 0.08-percent—or a 0.34-point—drop from Monday’s trading session. 

Tuesday’s sales totaled $1.7 million at the stock exchange, and all eleven transactions were conducted with the same exchange rate. 

There was no substantial change in the exchange rates of Armenia’s cash foreign currency market on Tuesday. Solely few banks had reduced the US currency’s selling exchange rate by half a dram and set it at AMD 410.5/$1, but the buying rate had virtually remained unchanged. The country’s exchange offices still bought the dollar at AMD 408-409/$1 on Tuesday.
