YEREVAN. – The US dollar’s average exchange rate, against the Armenian dram (AMD), comprised AMD 408/$1, at NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange on Friday, and this is a 0.12-percent—or a 0.49-point—fall from Thursday.

Friday’s sales totaled $3.45 million at the stock exchange. All seventeen transactions were conducted with the same exchange rate, but the demand for the American currency somewhat increased at the end of the trading session.  

There is no substantial change in the exchange rates of Armenia’s cash foreign currency market. The dollar reached its lowest point and it could rise as of next week. The country’s exchange offices still buy the US currency at AMD 407/$1 and sell it at AMD 409/$1.

As Armenian News-NEWS.am informed earlier, the US dollar’s average exchange rate, against the Armenian dram (AMD), comprised AMD 408.49/$1, at NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange on Thursday, and this was a 0.37-percent—or a 1.51-point—fall from Wednesday.

Thursday’s sales totaled $4.1 million at the stock exchange, and some trading was conducted at AMD 408/$1. 

The American currency’s devaluation was more noticeable in Armenia’s cash foreign currency market on Thursday. The country’s exchange offices bought the dollar at AMD 407/$1 and sold it at AMD 409/$1.
