YEREVAN. – Armenia’s fifth-convocation National Assembly (NA) commenced its fall session on Monday.  

A total of 104 from the 131 MPs were registered at the beginning of the first session, and therefore quorum is obtained, Armenian News-NEWS.am reporter informed from NA.

NA Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan opened the session by congratulating Armenia’s men’s national team, which triumphed at the 40th World Chess Olympiad, which was held in Istanbul, Turkey. In addition, he informed that Viktor Dallakyan is appointed as the President’s representative at the NA.

At present, the MPs are discussing the session’s agenda.  

To note, this is the first session of Armenia’s new National Assembly, which was formed as a result of the parliamentary elections that were held on May 6.
