Orinats Yerkir (OY) party hails positive Armenia-Turkey Protocols and will vote for their ratification in the RA Parliament, OY faction Secretary Artsruni Aghajanyan told NEWS.am.

“Armenia should have open borders with neighboring countries. Protocols contain no preconditions. The matter concerns establishment of relations and border opening. The rest issues will be discussed when the right time comes. We should follow backing of our national interests to raise the questions duly. Protocols concern two specific issues, the settlement of which is essential for Armenia,” Aghajanyan said.

Today, January 12, 2010 RA Constitutional Court ruled Armenia-Turkey Protocols constitutional. Further, the Protocols should be ratified by both countries’ Parliaments.
