YEREVAN. – Armenia estimates high the cooperation with Germany within the frameworks of the NATO ISAF in Afghanistan, Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan said during the meeting with German officer Rainer Glatz on Tuesday.

Ohanyan reminded that the Armenian peacekeeping forces have been successfully carrying out their duties in Afghanistan for 2.5 years along with German and other servicemen, MOD press service informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Glatz assessed high participation of the Armenian side in the peacekeeping mission in Afghanistan and stressed that the Armenian servicemen are ‘reliable and professional.’

The German officer also met with the Chief of Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces, Colonel-General Yuri Khachaturov, and discussed issues of mutual interest, including perspectives of further cooperation.
