YEREVAN.- Before thinking about the issues voiced by the Armenian delegation at PACE, it is necessary to understand the working concept of the delegation, opposition representative said.
Talking to Armenian News-NEWS.am Levon Zurabyan, head of the opposition Armenian National Congress bloc’s parliamentary group, spoke about the issues he intends to voice during the PACE autumn session.
The MP said a session of the Armenian delegation to PACE headed by David Harutyunyan was held on Wednesday to discuss organizational issues.
“This session was marked by major controversy as Harutyunyan was trying to omit demands of the opposition using the mechanisms of parliamentary majority,” Zurabyan said.
Asked about the opposition’s demands, Zurabyan said first of all the opposition members of the Armenian delegation must be presented in political committee and human rights committee.
The second attempt of the sides to reach a compromise failed as well.
As reported earlier, the delegation to PACE will be headed by David Harutyunyan from the Republican Party of Armenia.
