YEREVAN. – Armenia’s ruling Republican Party MP Vardan Ayvazyan will soon finish the construction of his grand restaurant in Georgia, Chorrord Inknishkhanutyun daily reports.
“According to the rumors being spread, with its cost and luxuriousness, Ayvazyan’s ‘object’ has no match in Georgia’s capital, Tbilisi.
Incidentally, it became apparent yesterday [Friday] that the New York Federal Court made a $37.5-million ruling against Vardan Ayvazyan.
In line with the material in the ruling, a sister company—which was the licensee of [Armenia’s] Hankavan Mine—of the Global Gold Mining Company was subjected by corrupt and improper demand-making Vardan Ayvazyan, Armenia’s former Nature Protection Minister. The company informed about this situation to the respective agencies of Armenia and the United States,” Chorrord Inknishkhanutyun writes.
