Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Secretary General Nikolay Bordyuzha highly assessed the CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Force’s (CRRF) “Cooperation 2012” military exercises, which wrapped up in Armenia on Wednesday. Bordyuzha himself stated this during a press conference on the same day. 

In his words, all the objectives of the maneuvers were set up and subsequently met.

“CSTO greatly underscores the preparation of the joint military training issues for the armies and operative teams of the participating countries. What’s most important is for them to be able to cooperate and carry out the task put before them,” Nikolay Bordyuzha noted.     

In the CSTO Secretary General’s words, Armenia’s leadership and Armed Forces likewise have greatly evaluated these drills.  

To note the CSTO CRRF “Cooperation 2012” joint multinational military exercises were being conducted on the grounds of Armenia’s Marshal Baghramian Military College.

As Armenian News-NEWS.am informed earlier, the maneuvers had kicked off on September 15, and the commander of the joint forces was Major General Kamo Kochunts.

About 2,000 troops from Armenia and other CSTO-member states took part in the drills.

During the exercises, the CSTO CRRF units worked on the use of force and means of collective security in the Caucasus. To note, the commanders of the exercises also held a development and planning of joint operations.

Representatives from the International Committee of the Red Cross likewise participated in the military maneuvers.
