YEREVAN. – The American dollar finally stopped losing value against the Armenian dram (AMD) in Armenia’s financial market.

The US currency’s average exchange rate against the dram comprised AMD 407.47/$1, at NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange on Thursday, and this is a 0.23-percent—or an AMD 0.93—gain from Wednesday’s trading session.

Thursday’s sales totaled $4.9 million at the stock exchange.

Armenia’s cash foreign currency market has not yet seen any substantial changes in the dollar’s exchange rate. It is primarily bought at AMD 405-406/$1, and just some exchange offices have raised the buying exchange rate all the way to AMD 407/$1. The American currency is sold at AMD 408-409/$1, albeit this exchange rate could rise until AMD 410/$1 in the evening hours.
