YEREVAN. – Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, accompanied by the country’s most senior officials, military officers and members of the clergy, on Friday visited capital city Yerevan’s Yerablur Military Pantheon, on the occasion of the 21st anniversary of Armenia’s independence, and paid his respects to the memory of the brave Armenian soldiers who fell in the Karabakh War (Photos).
Sargsyan and his entourage laid wreaths and placed flowers upon the tombs of former Prime Minister Vazgen Sargsyan and General Andranik Ozanian, and to the memorial of fallen freedom fighters.
The President was accompanied by Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II, Nagorno-Karabakh Republic President Bako Sahakyan, Armenia’s PM Tigran Sargsyan, Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan, FM Edward Nalbandian, and several others.
