YEREVAN. – The culture of relations between employee and employer is getting closer to the standards of an independent state in Armenia, Executive Director of the Republican Union of Employers of Armenia Gagik Makaryan told Armenian News-NEWS.am. “Progress is observed on this regard. Moreover, it refers to not only legislative reforms but also law enforcement practice,” Makaryan added. One of the weak points, however, still remains 'shadow employment'. Here, the situation may be positively influenced by the privately funded pension reform which will become an incentive for the employee to demand from his employer that the latter register real salary.
