NEW YORK. – A conference on ‘The Armenians and Progressive Politics’ is scheduled on Sept. 28 - 29 in New York City. Thirty experts, activists and scientists from Armenia, Europe, South America, and the United States will participate in the conference at Columbia University. The topic of the conference is “Armenia at 21” (century). Discussion of issues concerning the environment, foreign policy, economy, the development of civil society, and rule of law will be included in the agenda, the Armenian Weekly reports. Journalist and a Pulitzer Prize-winner Chris Hedges will deliver a speech in the opening ceremony of the conference.
