YEREVAN. – Armenia’s President Serzh Sargsyan received well-known French-Armenian entrepreneur Serge Tchuruk and a delegation comprising huge French businessmen, the President’s Press Office informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.    

The delegation included entrepreneurs from the telecommunication and other business sectors.

President Sargsyan stressed that Armenia has privileged relations with France, and noted that the Armenian-French friendship is anchored in historical ties and the French-Armenian community alike. He stated that bilateral relations have developed, over the past twenty years since diplomatic ties were established between Armenia and France, and Armenia looks toward further expanding cooperation.     

In his turn, Serge Tchuruk informed that they wish to get familiar on location with Armenia’s economy, the investment climate, and existing programs. 

The parties also discussed the opportunities for including new French enterprises and investments in Armenia’s economy. 

In addition, Armenia’s President briefed the French businessmen on the country’s economic priorities, current and future projects, ongoing reforms, and the Armenia-European Union cooperation.
