YEREVAN. – Armenian FM Edward Nalbandian held several bilateral meetings along the lines of his visit to New York.

At the UN, Nalbandian attended meeting of the foreign ministers of the CSTO-member countries, MFA Press Service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.    

During his meeting with Slovenian FM Karl Erjavec, they stressed that bilateral cooperation has risen to a new level. The ministers exchanged views on the latest developments in Syria, and Nalbandian briefed his colleague on Armenia-EU relations.   

During Armenian FM’s meeting with his counterpart from Turkmenistan, namely, Raşit Meredow, the interlocutors examined the preparations for the Turkmen President’s scheduled visit to Armenia, the results of the Armenian-Turkmen Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation session recently held in Yerevan, the cooperation within international organizations, and expanding the current legal and contractual domain between both countries.      

FM Edward Nalbandian also met with his Georgian colleague, Grigol Vashadze. They reflected on the course of implementing the arrangements reached between the leaders of the two countries and interaction matters.

During Armenian FM’s talk with Nebojša Kaluđerović, Montenegro’s Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister, they reflected on forming a legal and contractual domain between countries, stimulating business ties, and cooperation. The ministers agreed to accredit ambassadors to one anther’s capital cities and signing a memorandum on cooperation between the two MFAs.         

On the evening of the same day, Edward Nalbandian attended a reception which French FM Laurent Fabius organized in honor of the leaders of the delegations from the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF)-member countries. The event brought together UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and FMs from OIF-member countries.
