YEREVAN. – Armenian Parliament Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan received on Thursday Iran’s Ambassador to Armenia Mohammad Raiesi.

Abrahamyan assessed high friendly relations between Armenia and Iran, emphasized cooperation in various fields and claimed that inter-parliamentary ties should further deepen, Parliament press service informs Armenian News-NEWS.am. He also believes that Armenian-Iranian relations will be more developed and reinforced during Raiesi’s office. According to Abrahamyan, high level of political relations between both states is a good basis for further expanding and developing economic ties.

The ambassador handed Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani’s regards and the official invitation, claiming Abrahamyan’s official visit will promote the development of inter-parliamentary relations. The sides discussed regional issues and issues of mutual interest.
