YEREVAN. – Armenia closes budget with a surplus of $15.3 million for the last nine months of this year, deputy Minister of Finance, Armenia’s Chief Treasurer Atom Janjugazyan told the journalists on Tuesday adding that according to the planned implementation program, the budget should have been closed with a deficit of AMD 56.4 billion. To note, domestic financial deficit made AMD 22.2 billion, while the foreign made AMD 14 billion.

The surplus is mainly conditioned by the fact that the credits received are higher than what was planned by AMD 26 billion. It also is conditioned by the implementation of the budget expenses. 

The expense turnover for the nine months has increased by 3.7 percent as compared to the same period last year and made AMD 660.2 billion. At the same time current expenses made AMD 611.3 billion.
