January 22, 2010 a new 5.9 magnitude earthquake rocked Haiti, BBC reports referring to U.S. Geological Survey. According to MIGnews, the earth shocks were felt in Haitian capital Port-au-Prince.
The quake epicenter was 35 miles of the capital Port-au-Prince, Los Angeles Times informs. No victims and destructions were reported.

As NEWS.am reported previously, January 12, 2010 a 7.0-magnitude earthquake hit Haiti followed by 5.9 and 5.5 aftershocks. Another powerful 6.1 magnitude tremor struck Haiti on January 20, 2010. According to recent data, the earthquake killed 200.000 people, wounded 250.000 and left 1.5m bereft of home. According to Haitian Government officials, death toll may reach 500.000.
