YEREVAN.- Armenia’s President Sezh Sargsyan had a phone conversation with his Iranian counterpart Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
President Sargsyan rated high the session of Armenian-Iranian intergovernmental commission, adding that such meetings are indicative of long relations between the states and show aspiration of Yerevan and Tehran to develop bilateral ties.
Serzh Sargsyan said the meeting of a joint commission gives momentum to further development of economic cooperation, IRNA agency reports.
In his turn, President Ahmadinejad noted that expansion of economic cooperation will help to strengthen long-lasting and friendly ties between Armenia and Iran. He said Iran is consistent with full implementation of the arrangements reached by the states.
