Syria’s President Bashar Al-Assad said he would never leave Syria.

“I am not a puppet. I was not made by the West to go to the West or to any other country. I am Syrian, I was made in Syria, I have to live in Syria and die in Syria,” he said in an interview with Russia Today.

Earlier UK Premier David Cameron hinted Assad can get security guarantees if he immediately steps down. U.S. State Department said certain Middle East states are ready to host Assad and his family, ITAR-TASS reported.

Assad also warned against any intervention in Syria saying “the price of this [foreign] invasion if it happened is going to be more than the whole world can afford.”
